Quartz Powder

Quartz, the most common of all minerals, consists of silicon dioxide or silica, SiO2. Quartz Dust is formed by the calcination of high purity quartz ore at 900*C, with the smallest (SiO2) dust particles formed as a result of the decomposition of quartz-rich igneous, metamorphic rocks.

Quartz powder has unique physical and chemical properties and plays an important role in many fields. Its high temperature resistance, small thermal expansion coefficient, high insulation, corrosion resistance, piezoelectric effect, resonance effect and unique optical properties play an important role in many high-tech products, especially in the aerospace, aerospace, electronics, machinery and IT industries.

Quartz Powder has the following characteristics: 1. significantly improved resistance performances of pressure, bending, sealing, corrosion, impact and abrasion; 2, with water retention, segregation, to prevent bleeding, significantly reduced concrete pumping resistance; 3. Increasing the compactness of castable refractory materials. When combined with Al2O3, it is easier to mullite and achieve high temperature strength, strong thermal shock resistance.”

The use of quartz powder:

1. In the field of coatings and filling: quartz powder with good scattering and quenching effect and relatively low density, gloss and bright color as much as 92-95, will replace the traditional reflective glass beads in industrial applications, and the paint used, in which the slip resistance is greatly improved;

2. Nylon casting, resin casting industrial production, generally using superfine quartz powder cooling to reduce the casting shrinkage rate; The ultra-fine silica powder added in nylon and all resin systems can reduce the shrinkage rate of the resin during cooling;

3. Glass and metallurgical industrial production and so on, the use of ultra-fine quartz powder scattering and good extinction capacity, can produce optical glass instrument, conductive glass and various packaging boxes.

4. In the Foundry Industry, quartz powder will be used as an additive for the shrinkage rate of the casting during cooling, and the high silicon content of quartz powder to produce silicon alloy in the metal smelting process.

Ultra-fine quartz powder plays an important role in ultra-fine grinding and processing of quartz, to make quartz ultra-grinding, become more efficient, high-capacity, energy-saving. It produces quartz powder with different fineness for optional customers, ultra-fine quartz powder is available.
